Job Summary
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Middle School Science STEM Computer Technology & Robotics Teacher to inspire and educate students in a dynamic learning environment. This role involves delivering engaging integrated science to grades 6-8 and teaching a Middle School CTE Engineering & Computer Technology Survey course. This certificated teaching position offers an exciting opportunity to shape the next generation of innovators and problem-solvers.
Duties
- Develop and implement comprehensive science curricula that incorporate principles of biology, chemistry, physics, and earth science using STEMscope integrated curriculum.
- Design and deliver engaging lessons STEM computer technology and robotics, through a CTE Engineering & Computer Technology survey course for middle school.
- Plan and execute hands-on laboratory experiments other scientific research techniques to deepen student comprehension.
- Manage classroom activities effectively while maintaining a positive environment conducive to learning; employ behavior management strategies tailored for diverse student needs.
- Assess student progress through standardized testing, project evaluations, and formative assessments; provide constructive feedback and academic advising.
- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, instructional design, and educational administration initiatives; participate in professional development opportunities related to Montessori or special education methodologies when applicable.
Skills
- Extensive knowledge of science disciplines, with certification across physical science earth science, and life sciences. Certification across all sciences is a plus, but is not required.
- CTE certification in Engineering & Computer Technology is a plus.
- Experience with basic coding is necessary for a full-time placement and a willingness to get certification in Engineering & Computer Technology is necessary for a full-time placement.
- Experience working with middle school students is a plus.
- Skilled in working with students of varying abilities; experienced in classroom management and behavior management techniques.
- Proficient in using learning technology tools to facilitate interactive lessons and enhance STEM education delivery.
- Excellent communication skills for effective instruction, mentoring students, collaborating with colleagues, and engaging parents or guardians when necessary.
- Prior experience teaching is desirable.
