Job Title: Direct Support Staff / Caregiver – ABI (Driver Required)

Butler Rescue Hands, Inc. is a non-medical home care agency providing high-quality support services to individuals throughout Connecticut. We are currently expanding our team in the Waterbury area and are seeking dedicated caregivers to work with clients in the Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) program.
Position Overview:
We are hiring compassionate and reliable staff to support multiple ABI clients in the Waterbury area. This role involves assisting individuals with daily living skills, community integration, and maintaining independence. Flexible schedules are available, with opportunities to build a full caseload.
Responsibilities:
- Assist clients with Independent Living Skills Training (ILST)
- Provide supervision, companionship, and structured support
- Support clients with daily routines and personal care as needed
- Transport clients to appointments, community activities, and errands
- Assist with meal preparation, grocery shopping, and light housekeeping
- Promote independence and skill-building
- Follow individualized care plans and document services provided
- Ensure client safety and well-being at all times
Requirements:
- Must have a reliable vehicle and valid driver’s license
- Clean driving record required
- Experience with ABI, behavioral support, or similar populations preferred
- Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with ILST, PCA, or RA services
- Background in home care, human services, or direct support
- Ability to manage multiple clients and schedules
