What are the responsibilities and job description for the LPN/ RN Contract Nurse position at Butler Rehab and Healthcare Center?
Butler Rehab and Healthcare Center is a skilled nursing community, who strives to provide clinical excellence and compassionate care to our residents. Our community is in need of Registered Nurses (RN), Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) to fill 6 week contract.
Candidates should desire to be a part of a quality health care team with emphasis on supporting the mission and vision of our facility in its efforts to support our residents, family members, co-worker’s general public.
Responsibilities of a Registered Nurse and Licensed Practical Nurse include:
- Administer medications, provide vaccinations and render treatment
- Communicate with physicians and other medical professionals
- Collaborate with physicians to create a Plan of Care for each patient
- Consider the age of the patient and his or her emotional stability when determining appropriate treatment
- Create and contribute to patients’ medical records as needed
- Respond to inquiries, concerns and complaints from patients
- Track and maintain medical supply inventory along with other staff members
- Counsel patients and family members before, during and after treatment
Requirements of a Registered Nurse and Licensed Practical Nurse include:
- Nursing experience, preferably clinical experience in long term care
- Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered in the state of Illinois
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule and to fill in when needed
- Excellent bedside manner and communication skills
- Ability to explain treatments and conditions
- Working knowledge of health care laws and regulations
- Well-groomed and neat presenting
