MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES (Position Summary)
Business & Pleasure Co. is looking for a highly organized Supply Chain Associate to support day-to-day supply chain operations. This role will help coordinate supplier orders, track shipments, maintain accurate system data, and ensure inventory and logistics processes run smoothly.
You will work closely with suppliers, logistics partners, and internal teams to support purchasing, inventory tracking, and order fulfillment. This role requires strong attention to detail, communication skills, and a proactive approach to resolving operational issues.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Leadership and Cross Department Communication
• Serve as the primary liaison with global suppliers, third-party logistics providers (3PLs), freight partners, and internal teams (product, sales, warehouse, and finance) to ensure alignment on purchase orders, inventory availability, shipments, and delivery timelines.
• Provide clear and timely updates regarding order status, shipping schedules, and supply risks while escalating potential delays or disruptions.
• Support cross-functional teams in resolving supply chain challenges to maintain smooth operational flow.
Supply Chain Planning and Coordination
• Manage and execute approved supply chain and purchasing plans, ensuring product availability aligns with demand forecasts and sales needs.
• Monitor supplier production timelines, shipment schedules, and inbound logistics to ensure on-time delivery.
• Coordinate closely with product development and sales teams to ensure new product launches and replenishment cycles are supported by accurate planning.
Supplier and Logistics Management
• Oversee supplier performance, order fulfillment, and shipment coordination with global manufacturing partners.
• Work closely with freight forwarders and logistics providers to manage inbound shipments, customs documentation, and delivery schedules.
• Identify risks related to supplier capacity, shipping delays, or material shortages and implement mitigation strategies.
Data, Reporting, and Systems Oversight
• Ensure accurate ERP/MRP system data for purchase orders, shipments, inventory levels, and supplier timelines.
• Generate reports on supply chain performance including inventory levels, supplier reliability, lead times, and order fulfillment.
• Use data insights to recommend improvements in forecasting accuracy, inventory planning, and supplier coordination.
Issue Resolution and Escalation
• Identify and resolve supply chain issues such as supplier delays, inventory shortages, shipping disruptions, or demand fluctuations.
• Escalate major supply chain risks to senior management and recommend corrective action plans.
• Lead cross-functional supply chain review meetings to monitor operational performance and resolve bottlenecks.
Compliance and Documentation
• Ensure all purchasing, import/export, and supply chain documentation is accurate and properly maintained.
• Maintain compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and quality standards related to sourcing and logistics.
Continuous Improvement
• Participate in supply chain optimization initiatives focused on inventory efficiency, lead time reduction, and cost control.
• Gather feedback from suppliers, logistics partners, and internal teams to identify operational challenges.
• Recommend improvements in planning systems, supplier management processes, and reporting tools.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
· Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Operations, or a related field, with 3 years of production or manufacturing management experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory role; Certifications such as APICS CPIM/CSCP are a plus.
· Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Operations, Business, or a related field, with 5 years of supply chain or operations management experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory role; certifications such as APICS CSCP/CPIM are a plus.
· Hands-on experience with supply chain planning, procurement, logistics coordination, and ERP/MRP/PLM systems (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar).
· Strong analytical and reporting capabilities with advanced Excel skills and experience working with supply chain data.
· Flexible and proactive leader with strong communication and collaboration skills, able to coordinate effectively across global teams and partners.
· Detail-oriented, highly organized, and committed to continuous improvement, operational efficiency, compliance, and accurate supply chain records.
Salary : $75,000 - $85,000
