MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES (Position Summary)
The Key Holder is responsible for assisting in the delivery of an exceptional, brand-aligned retail and product experience that drives both direct-to-consumer (DTC) and commercial trade sales. This role blends hands-on retail leadership with a strategic sales and product focus, ensuring the store not only represents Business & Pleasure Co.’s brand aesthetic but also becomes a key driver of commercial growth and omnichannel engagement.
Working closely with our Commercial Sales and Product Teams and Store Manager this position bridges in-store retail execution with product storytelling, trade relationship building, and sales conversion optimization. The role is ideal for a business-minded leader who understands how product, environment, and customer engagement intersect to drive growth.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Retail Operations & Experience
· Assist in the optimization of the Laguna and Newport Beach stores, ensuring the in-store client experience reflects B&P’s design and product vision.
· Assist in executing high-standard retail processes, including visual merchandising, stock control, and POS system optimization.
· Maintain brand consistency through sales strategy and technique, in addition to product presentation, storytelling, and display innovation that aligns with new launches and seasonal campaigns.
Product & Commercial Sales
· Partner with the Product and Commercial Sales Teams to identify and promote high-performing SKUs, trade-focused products, and new collection launches.
· Drive engagement with Interior Designers, Hospitality Partners, and Trade Clients, leveraging the store as both a showroom and sales hub.
· Develop programs to grow trade partnerships, including in-store consultations, product education, and client events.
· Utilize product feedback from in-store interactions to inform product development and merchandising suggestions. Act as the in-store ambassador for the Product Team — providing customer insights, testing new products, and supporting launch events.
Omnichannel Integration
· Collaborate with the eCommerce and Customer Service teams to deliver a seamless online/offline experience, supporting B&P’s omnichannel strategy.
· Manage fulfillment for local pick-ups, client deliveries, and warehouse-ship orders to ensure smooth logistics and customer satisfaction.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
· 5yrs in Retail experience
· Experience working in furniture sales with Interior Designers, Trade Partners, or Commercial Accounts is a plus
· Must be able to lift 55 lbs
· Shopify Plus POS and Gorgias experience a major plus
· High school diploma or Equivalent; bachelor’s degree in business administration or a similar field is preferred
· Strong people skills, team leadership, organizational and operations skills
· Time management skills
· High level problem solving and decision-making ability
· Working with and adhering to targets
Salary : $24 - $26
