Job Description:
Skilled and experienced Maintenance Technician to perform maintenance tasks and repairs as needed. You will be responsible for applying basic repairs to equipment and building systems while ensuring facilities are functional, safe, presentable and prepared for our tenants to comfortably work in.
Being reliable with a keen eye for detail is a must. The ideal candidate will have hands on experience, be able to interact with our tenants as needed, have the ability to multi task and present solid technical knowledge and troubleshooting skills.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform porter duties such as policing grounds, light landscaping and street sweeping
- Evaluate, troubleshoot, repair and maintain plumbing, electrical and HVAC systems in our facilities
- Perform corrective measures such as repairing broken door hardware, changing light bulbs and ballasts, wall repairs, painting, plumbing and light electrical
- Make deliveries and pickups when requested
- Complete tasks on time and independently
- Respond to On-Call Emergency in a timely manner
- Maintain logs and records as needed
Requirements:
- Proven track record of past experiences
- Basic knowledge of building M.E.P.S.
- Experience using hand and electrical tools
- Ability to read technical manuals and drawings
- Very good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed
- Travel in and around the Tampa area, as far as the Orlando, Jacksonville, Merritt Island or as needed
- Must provide own tools
- To be dependable, follow details and instructions, take responsibility for own actions and manage time appropriately
- Physical stamina and dexterity
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Have reliable transportation
