Surgical Technologist / Scrub Technician (OR – Ortho, Neuro, Robotics)

12-Hour Day Shifts | Rotating Weekends | On-Call Required
Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Surgical Technologist (Scrub Tech) to join a fast-paced Operating Room team. This role plays a critical part in ensuring safe and efficient surgical procedures by maintaining sterile technique, preparing instruments, and supporting the surgical team throughout procedures.
Ideal candidates have strong OR experience, excellent attention to detail, and hands-on exposure to orthopedic, neuro, and robotic surgeries.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain sterile field in the Operating Room during surgical procedures
- Assist surgeons by passing instruments, supplies, and equipment
- Anticipate surgical team needs to ensure smooth workflow
- Perform accurate surgical counts (instruments, sponges, sharps)
- Assist with dressings, wound care, and cast applications
- Prepare surgical cases based on physician preference cards
- Ensure compliance with infection control and patient safety standards
- Document and communicate critical surgical information
- Identify workflow issues and support process improvements
- Collaborate with surgical team members and participate in training
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Surgical Technologist or Scrub Technician in a hospital OR
- Experience in orthopedic, neuro, and robotic surgery cases
- Strong knowledge of sterile technique and surgical instrumentation
- High School Diploma or GED
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification
Preferred Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or Scrub Tech Certification
