Shift: Night 3x12 (19:00 – 07:30)
Contract: 8 Weeks (Extension Possible)
Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join a fast-paced Medical-Surgical unit at a reputable acute care hospital in Cartersville, GA. The RN will provide direct bedside care to adult and geriatric patients, ensuring safe, high-quality outcomes in a high-acuity environment.
This role is ideal for a clinician with strong critical thinking, teamwork, and clinical assessment skills who thrives in night shift hospital settings.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality medical-surgical nursing care to adult and geriatric patients
- Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions, vitals, and clinical changes
- Administer IV therapy, medications, and prescribed treatments
- Provide oxygen therapy management (nasal cannula and non-invasive support)
- Support respiratory care and airway management needs
- Perform cardiac monitoring and identify dysrhythmias
- Respond effectively to emergency situations, Rapid Response, and Code Blue events
- Maintain accurate documentation using Epic EMR (preferred)
- Follow strict infection control and PPE protocols
- Collaborate with physicians, charge nurses, and interdisciplinary teams
- Promote patient safety, comfort, and continuity of care
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of Medical-Surgical RN experience
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) License – GA or Compact
- Experience in acute care hospital settings
- Ability to manage 1:6 patient ratio
- Willingness to work night shifts (3x12 schedule)

Unit Details

- Patient Ratio: 1:6 (All shifts)
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- Float Requirement: Within facility as needed
- Teaching Facility Experience: Preferred
- Trauma Level Requirement: Not required
Additional Information
- Travel nurses accepted (including first-time travelers)
- Full compliance required prior to start date
- Orientation hours vary based on contract length
