Job Description
- Seeking an experienced RF Systems Engineer to architect, design, develop, integrate, and test RF systems and circuitry for high-frequency and microwave applications.
- The role will support the development of RF systems including receivers, transmitters, antennas, frequency synthesizers, low-noise amplifiers, high-power amplifiers, RF conversion elements, and transmission-line equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and design RF systems, subsystems, and high-frequency/microwave circuitry.
- Design and develop RF hardware, including receivers, transmitters, antennas, and frequency synthesizers.
- Support hardware layout, component evaluation, prototype development, and testing.
- Develop test methods and specifications and analyze RF hardware performance.
- Support Product Development with technical inputs and formal documentation.
- Support manufacturing during product assembly and testing.
- Develop RF system and subsystem architectures and allocate functional and performance requirements.
- Perform RF link analysis and optimization, including propagation effects and potential interference sources.
- Identify and track RF Technical Performance Measurements (TPMs).
- Conduct RF system, subsystem, and component trade studies and CAIV analysis.
- Support lifecycle cost, reliability, availability, and maintainability analyses.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in RF Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related STEM discipline.
- 3–5 years of experience in communication systems development, including radios, antennas, and/or related communication subsystems.
- 3 years of experience with HFSS (High Frequency Structure Simulator) or related RF analysis tools.
Desired Skills
- Experience designing, developing, and integrating communication systems.
- Proficiency in systems engineering processes.
- Experience with RF analysis, including co-site analysis, antenna patterns, and link budgets.
- Knowledge of military and/or government programs.
- Experience with the C-130 platform.
- Experience with Ansys RF analysis tools, including EMIT.
