The Team Lead of Platform Development will drive innovation and impact by leading a talented team of developers to build and maintain core platforms and mission‑critical applications. In this role, you’ll combine hands-on technical expertise with strong leadership to guide your team in delivering high-quality solutions on time while fostering growth, collaboration, and alignment with business objectives.
This is a direct-hire role with the ability to be based in either Plano, TX, or Vancouver, WA.
Work onsite Mon - Fri at either Plano TX office or Vancouver, WA office. Each employee gets 35 remote days per year to use at their discretion.
COMP: $210K-$265K OTE (Base: $165K-$210K 25-30% bonus)

WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Lead and inspire a team of developers, setting clear expectations while providing coaching, mentorship, and ongoing feedback to help them grow and succeed.
- Drive the team’s development roadmap, ensuring projects and priorities stay aligned with broader business goals and platform strategy.
- Set clear objectives and measurable outcomes for both the team and individual developers, keeping work on track and proactively addressing risks along the way.
- Run daily standups and delivery check-ins, creating a culture of transparency, accountability, and predictable delivery.
- Champion strong engineering standards, continuously improving coding practices, design patterns, and architecture across the stack.
- Promote high-quality development by ensuring effective testing strategies (unit, integration, and end-to-end) and reliable quality gates.
- Keep projects moving forward by monitoring progress, removing blockers, and adjusting priorities to meet deadlines without sacrificing quality.
- Communicate clearly with technology leadership, providing visibility into progress, risks, and key technical decisions.
- Ensure accurate documentation of architecture, designs, APIs, and operational procedures for platform components.
- Identify skills gaps on the team and partner with management to address them via training, mentoring, or hiring.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related experience.
- 8 years of experience in software development, including significant experience as a Full Stack Developer.
- 2 years of experience in a formal or informal technical leadership or people‑management role.
- Strong technical background across multiple areas such as back‑end services (e.g., .NET, Node.js), web UI frameworks (e.g., Angular/React), APIs/microservices, and databases.
- Demonstrated experience leading teams delivering complex, multi‑system solutions using project methodologies (Scrum or Waterfall).
- Proven ability to set priorities, manage multiple streams of work, and hold teams accountable to commitments and quality standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to translate technical topics for non‑technical audiences.
