What are the responsibilities and job description for the Enterprise Data Architecture & Cloud Strategy position at Business Centric Technology?
We are seeking a strategic Enterprise Data Architect & Cloud Strategy to lead the design and modernization of our client’s enterprise data ecosystem across on-prem, Azure, and Microsoft Fabric. This leader will drive the evolution of their data platform, enabling scalable analytics, strong governance, and seamless integration across business systems and acquisitions.
This is a direct-hire position working on-site in Irving, TX, Monday through Thursday, with Fridays being remote.
COMP: $150-175K Depending on candidates experience, etc.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Shape the Enterprise Data Strategy
- Design and evolve modern Lakehouse architectures across Azure and Microsoft Fabric. Define architectural standards, reusable patterns, and modernization roadmaps that enable scalable ingestion, transformation, and analytics across the enterprise.
- Lead Post-Merger Data Integration
- Drive data platform consolidation across acquired companies by integrating ERP, CRM, and operational systems into unified data environments. Establish repeatable onboarding frameworks and canonical data models to ensure consistency and scalability as the business grows.
- Build a Governed Enterprise Data Platform
- Architect and oversee enterprise Lakehouse environments using Bronze/Silver/Gold data patterns, shared semantic models, and standardized KPI frameworks. Ensure strong data lineage, quality, and observability across the platform.
- Establish Master Data & Canonical Models
- Define enterprise entities such as Customer, Product, Vendor, and Location, and implement pragmatic MDM strategies that resolve identity conflicts, hierarchy mismatches, and duplicate data across systems.
- Drive Governance, Security & Compliance
- Implement scalable governance models that support enterprise growth and acquisitions, including data certification, domain isolation, role-based access controls, and metadata standards, while ensuring alignment with security and regulatory requirements.
- Lead Platform Operations & Engineering Standards
- Provide architectural leadership across data engineering, BI, and DBA teams, guiding best practices in CI/CD, DevOps, monitoring, and operational reliability across Azure and on-prem platforms.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING:
- 10 years of experience in enterprise data architecture and modern analytics platforms
- Deep expertise in data modeling, large-scale data systems, and cloud data platforms
- Strong experience with Azure data services and modern Lakehouse architectures
- Background guiding engineering teams and establishing enterprise data standards
