We are looking for a Lead AI Engineer to lead an Agentic AI team focused on building and scaling intelligent agent systems for real-world government use cases. The ideal candidate is a hands-on technical leader with experience designing, deploying, and managing LLM-powered systems in production. This role will be responsible for guiding agentic system architecture, leading technical execution, and ensuring delivery of reliable, high-impact AI capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and deployment of multi-agent systems with tool use, memory, routing, and planning capabilities.
- Provide technical leadership for an Agentic AI team, including architecture decisions, code quality, and model evaluation standards.
- Develop Agent Skills and tools as modular, composable services that integrate with backend systems, models, and data pipelines.
- Establish observability, evaluation, and feedback loops for agent behavior, including telemetry, prompt evaluation, and regression testing.
- Partner closely with Product and Implementation teams to apply agentic AI to complex customer problems.
- Lead Agile ceremonies and technical planning for the Agentic AI team.
- Education: Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctorate in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Experience: Minimum 3 years building and deploying ML or LLM-powered systems in production environments; minimum 2 years leading or mentoring engineering teams
- Skills: Python, machine learning systems, LLM frameworks, agent architectures, AWS/cloud infrastructure
- Other: U.S. Citizenship required; willingness to travel up to 10%; ability to obtain a security clearance
- Experience designing and deploying complex agentic systems using LLMs
- Hands-on experience with multi-agent coordination, routing, and tool orchestration
- Familiarity with Claude Agent SDK, OpenAI Agent SDK, or similar frameworks
- Experience in startup or high-growth technology environments
- Current or prior U.S. security clearance

Salary : $180,000 - $210,000
