We are looking for a Senior AI Engineer, Agent Workflows to join the Agentic AI team in Pittsburgh, PA. The ideal candidate will have experience designing and deploying production-grade LLM-powered systems that can execute complex workflows and long-horizon tasks. This role will involve building scalable multi-agent systems, developing modular tools and skills, establishing technical architecture standards, and partnering with product and implementation teams to solve complex customer challenges.
Key Responsibilities
- Multi-Agent Workflow Design: Design and build multi-agent systems with tool use, memory, routing, planning, and long-horizon workflow execution capabilities.
- Agent Skills Development: Develop modular Agent Skills and tools that interact with backend systems, APIs, models, and data processing pipelines.
- Technical Architecture Ownership: Own the technical architecture and engineering standards for agentic systems to ensure scalability, reliability, maintainability, and performance.
- Evaluation & Observability: Build automated evaluation frameworks, telemetry, prompt testing, regression testing, and reliability metrics to continuously improve agent behavior.
- Cross-Functional Problem Solving: Work closely with product, implementation, and engineering teams to solve complex customer problems using agentic AI systems.
- Continuous Innovation: Explore emerging LLM technologies, agent frameworks, and coding best practices to improve the effectiveness of complex AI workflows.
- Education: Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctorate in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Science, or a related field
- Experience: 5 years of progressive experience designing, building, and deploying production-grade machine learning or LLM-powered systems with end-to-end ownership
- Skills: Advanced software development skills in Python, experience building and productionizing machine learning systems, hands-on experience with LLMs, agent frameworks, and multi-agent systems, experience with AWS and cloud infrastructure, familiarity with Git source control management, experience with observability, prompt evaluation, telemetry, regression testing, and reliability metrics, and ability to operate effectively in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.
- U.S. Citizenship is required
- Ability to obtain or maintain a U.S. security clearance preferred
- Up to 10% travel may be required
- This is a full-time onsite role in Pittsburgh, PA
- Experience designing and deploying complex agentic systems using LLMs
- Experience with multi-agent coordination, routing, and tool orchestration
- Experience with Claude Agent SDK, OpenAI Agent SDK, or similar frameworks
- Experience with React, Next.js, or API-driven UI architectures
- Familiarity with Claude Code and GenAI coding best practices
- Startup or entrepreneurial experience, especially scaling products from zero to one
- Current U.S. security clearance or ability to obtain one

Salary : $180,000 - $225,000
