Job Summary
BASIC FUNCTION: Under the direction of the District administration will transport pupils to and from school, make special trips, and supervise pupils while on the bus. Maintain the bus, schedule maintenance, complete and maintain records, and keep current School Bus Driver Certificate in compliance with California Department of Motor Vehicles, California Highway Patrol, California Education Code and within District policies. Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements / Qualifications
Resume Letter of Reference Classified Application Possession of a valid California Class A or B commercial Operator’s License and other license endorsements by the Department of Motor Vehicles to permit the driving of a school bus and a School Bus Driver’s Certificate issued by the California Highway Patrol. Controlled substances test results indicate a verified negative test result. Fingerprint clearance is required. Must pass a pre-employment physical with certification verifying capability of meeting the physical requirements of the position. Must have a current Department of Transportation Medical Certificate and the required First Aid training. Maintain a clean driving record, both professionally and personally.
