This position plays a vital role in delivering an exceptional on-course experience by ensuring smooth pace of play, upholding course standards, and providing outstanding Member service. The Golf Course Ranger serves as a visible and approachable presence on the course, assisting Members and guests while maintaining an organized, safe, and enjoyable golfing environment.

Pace of Play & Course Flow
- Monitor and maintain an appropriate pace of play across the course
- Address slow groups in a professional and courteous manner
- Ensure efficient spacing between groups to maintain course flow
- Provide assistance and information to Members and guests throughout their round
- Respond to questions, concerns, and on-course needs promptly
- Assist players with any on-course challenges or issues
- Enforce course rules, golf etiquette, and safety guidelines
- Monitor course conditions and report maintenance issues or hazards
- Ensure on-course amenities (flags, water stations, cups) are properly stocked
- Serve as a liaison between Members, Golf Shop, Caddie Master, and management
- Communicate real-time updates regarding pace of play and course conditions
- Monitor and assist during employee golf days, including check-in procedures
- Promote a safe environment for all players and staff
- Respond appropriately to emergencies or unsafe conditions
- Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the course
- Maintain a professional, courteous, and visible presence on the course
- Demonstrate strong judgment when managing pace of play and Member interactions
- Work collaboratively with the Caddie Master, Golf Shop staff, and professional team
- Maintain the appearance and cleanliness of the course
- Communicate effectively with Members, guests, and team members
- Adapt to changing course conditions and operational needs
- Work weekends and holidays during peak season
- Contribute positively to the overall Member experience
- Follow all Club policies and operational standards
The Standards (Qualifications & Professional Conduct)
- Prior golf operations or customer service experience preferred
- General knowledge of golf rules and etiquette required
- Equivalent combination of education and experience considered
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations
- Strong observational and problem-solving abilities
- Service-focused mindset with attention to detail
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 8 hours)
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds (golf bags, supplies, etc.)
- Ability to operate golf carts safely and efficiently
