Contracts/Compliance Paralegal
Location: Sugar Land, TX (hybrid schedule)
Length: Long-term temporary opportunity with potential to go perm for the right person
Pay Rate: $60-65K, DOE
Schedule: 40 hours per week - 8:30 or 9:00 until 5:00 with 30 minutes/1 hour lunch
Reports to: Director of Legal Services
Interview Process: Would like to review resumes and then do a Teams interview with the Director of Legal Services and the CFO
Additional Details:
- Needs someone with notary ability
- Software documentation - they will be trained on their internal system
- Looking for candidates with a minimum of 1-2 years of recent Paralegal experience
- Will be in office the first month or so for training then will have the opportunity to work 50/50 WFH/Office. They need to prove themselves and know the role, then they can move to the hybrid schedule.
- No OT
- Needs someone who is calm but a good worker. No drama. They will be sitting right outside of Brian?s office.

A growing organization with multiple affiliated business entities is seeking a detail-oriented Contracts & Compliance Paralegal to join its legal and administrative team. This role is ideal for an early-career legal professional who wants to gain broad exposure to contract administration, corporate compliance, risk management, and legal operations in a dynamic business environment.
Working closely with internal departments and external partners, you'll play a key role in supporting contract processes, maintaining compliance requirements, and helping ensure smooth day-to-day legal operations.
- Contract Administration & Legal Operations
- Assist in managing the full contract lifecycle through a contract management platform
- Coordinate contract intake, review routing, approvals, and status tracking
- Ensure agreements are processed in accordance with established procedures and templates
- Help resolve workflow-related issues and support users of the contract management system
- Partner with business teams to facilitate timely contract execution and documentation
Compliance & Corporate Governance
- Monitor regulatory filing requirements and important compliance deadlines
- Support business registrations, annual filings, and corporate record maintenance
- Maintain compliance tracking systems and calendars
- Assist with monitoring employment-related compliance requirements across various jurisdictions
- Help ensure accurate and organized documentation for audits and reporting
Insurance & Risk Management Support
- Coordinate information gathering for insurance renewals and policy updates
- Maintain records of insurance policies, coverage details, and renewal schedules
- Manage Certificates of Insurance (COIs) and support requests from internal and external stakeholders
- Assist with documentation related to risk management initiatives
- Organizational & Administrative Support
- Maintain organized legal, compliance, and contract records
- Update reporting tools, spreadsheets, and tracking dashboards
- Assist with special projects, audits, and process improvement initiatives
- Collaborate with stakeholders across multiple business units to gather information and provide status updates
Required Qualifications
- 1-3 years of paralegal, legal support, contract administration, or related experience
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Must be located within commuting distance of Sugar Land, TX
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting contract management processes
- Familiarity with corporate compliance, legal operations, or risk management functions
- Paralegal Certificate or related legal training
- Experience working with contract lifecycle management software is a plus
Bachelor's degree preferred, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant experience
