Cheese Store Team Member – Part-Time
Burnett Dairy Cooperative is looking for energetic, dependable, and people-oriented Team Members to join our Cheese Store team at 8552 Grand Ave, Duluth, MN 55808.
This is a part-time position, with possible full-time opportunities available.
IMPORTANT AVAILABILITY REQUIREMENT
Applicants MUST be available to work weekdays starting at 3:00 p.m. and weekends.
Our Cheese Store Team Members help create a welcoming experience for every customer while supporting daily store operations. Responsibilities include ringing up customer purchases, stocking products, keeping coolers and store areas clean and organized, assisting in the bistro and ice cream areas, and providing outstanding customer service.
Primary Responsibilities
- Stock, organize, and rotate products in coolers and on shelves to keep merchandise available and appealing to customers.
- Prepare and serve pizza, ice cream, and other food products according to customer requests.
- Unload products from truck deliveries.
- Price products and label cheese.
- Greet customers with a smile, answer product questions, and consistently provide friendly, helpful service.
- Operate the register and accurately handle customer transactions.
- Clean and maintain store areas before, during, and at the end of each shift.
- Work effectively as part of a team in an active, fast-paced environment.
Job Requirements
- Must be available weekdays starting at 3:00 p.m. and weekends.
- Holiday availability may also be required.
- Regular and dependable attendance.
- Ability to work effectively in an active and demanding environment.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Cash-handling experience and ability to accurately make change.
- Positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team.
Physical Requirements & Working Conditions
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and push, pull, or stack up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand for the duration of the shift.
- Frequent repetitive motion and use of hands.
- Occasional climbing, balancing, stooping, bending, kneeling, and crouching.
- Ability to work in cold/refrigerated environments.
