Burnett Dairy Cooperative is looking for an energetic and people-oriented Cheese Store Lead to work Full-Time at our store at 8552 Grand Ave, Duluth MN 55808. Our store leads delegate tasks, coach and train team members, open/close all areas of the store, ensure all food safety guidelines are enforced, trouble shoot register/ inventory issues, lead by example, and maintain a high level of customer service. This job requires constant standing and some lifting. Must be flexible with hours worked and available and willing to work weekends. Must be able to work as part of a team in a fast-paced work environment.
Primary Accountabilities / Responsibilities:
- Delivers training program for team members working in the store, including new employee orientation, bistro, ice cream, and cash register training. Assists with developing training materials.
- Price products and label cheese.
- Provides work direction and coaching to team members as needed to complete tasks.
- Make deposits and enter daily batches on computer.
- Stock, organize, and rotate product to ensure it is available and appealing for customers.
- Prepare and serve ice cream & bistro products per customer request.
- Assemble pizzas, wrap, and place in the cooler per guidelines.
- Clean store machines according to guidelines, troubleshoot and make calls when repairs are needed.
- Smile and greet customers, answer questions regarding the product. Consistently display helpful and positive attitude.
- Clean and maintain store area before, during, and at the end of shift. Follows sanitary requirements.
Qualifications
- Occasionally lift and stack up to 50 pounds; push/pull carts up to 200 pounds
- Occasionally required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and reach above head.
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Able to motivate and provide excellent coaching and leadership skills to team members working in a fast-paced work environment.
- Excellent customer service skills and positive attitude.
- Cash handling experience, ability to make change, operate, and train on the cash registers
