PREVENTATIVE MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN

Burlington Capital Properties is seeking a dependable, hands-on Preventative Maintenance Technician to support Rising View, a military housing community of approximately 2,000 homes located near Offutt Air Force Base. This is an opportunity to perform preventative maintenance that directly impacts the comfort, safety, and quality of life of military members and their families.
The ideal candidate will be an experienced residential maintenance professional with strong HVAC knowledge who enjoys troubleshooting problems, maintaining home systems, and providing responsive service to residents.
Schedule
Full-Time | Monday-Friday | 8:30 AM-5:00 PM
The Successful Preventative Maintenance Technician Will:
- Perform preventative maintenance on heating, air conditioning, plumbing, electrical, appliances, and other building systems to extend equipment life, reduce breakdowns, and enhance performance.
- Perform testing, repair, and/or replacement of filters, smoke detectors, and other items identified during inspections.
- Provide excellent customer service to residents.
- Follow company safety and liability guidelines.
- Maintain positive and professional interactions with residents, employees, vendors, and the general public.
- Work independently while following directives and completing assigned tasks.
- Maintain flexibility in the schedule to meet property needs and goals.
- Participate in on-call responsibilities as directed by management.
REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
- EPA certification required.
- HVAC experience required.
- Minimum of one year of maintenance experience.
- Adequate home and building systems repair skills.
- Valid driver's license and acceptable motor vehicle record required.
- Ability to follow directives and work with minimal supervision.
- One year of multifamily housing maintenance experience preferred.
- Basic understanding of the English language and ability to communicate with coworkers.
- Positive and professional approach when interacting with residents, employees, vendors, and the general public.
- Ability to exercise schedule flexibility to accomplish goals.
