Part Time After Hours Placement Support Specialist

Department: Social Services

Hiring Rate: $23.41 per hour

Closing Date: Open Until Filled

In recruiting for this After-Hours Placement Support Specialist position, we are seeking five experienced individuals to complete the following:

• Taking care of youth experiencing foster care while the agency is seeking placement for them.
• Providing safety and well-being within sight and sound of youth by engaging them in activities to get know them and providing daily activities
• In partnership with the social worker you will learn about the youth and report strengths and needs during your time caring for the youth
• Keeping our values at the forefront while caring for a vulnerable population
  
  

The agency is seeking hourly part time workers for 24 hours a day. Interested applicants should note their availability in their application. Ex. Weekends only, or evenings only, etc. All schedules will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Providing guidance on behaviors and activities of youth for their health, safety and well-being, being within sight and sound of the youth
• Seeking help and asking questions when unsure of anything while providing care of the youth
• Transporting youth to and from school if available at these times
• Redirecting youth and not engaging in power struggles.
• Preparing and cooking meals with or for youth
• Providing a structured scheduled for youth including, getting up in the morning, daily hygiene, school work, etc.
• Administering medication to youth
  
  

Qualifications

Preferred:

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited school of social work and 3 years of social work experience; or
• Bachelor’s degree in a human services field and 4 years of social work experience; or
• Bachelor’s degree in a non-human services field and 5 years of social work experience; or
• Experience working with children.
  
  

Additional Requirements

• Valid Driver’s License with a safe driving record
  
  

Preferences

• CPR, First Aid
• Experience working with children
