Accounts Payable Accountant

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Accounts Payable Accountant to join our finance team. This role is responsible for managing the full accounts payable cycle, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, maintaining strong vendor relationships, and supporting month-end close activities. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. This role has a hybrid schedule, with M/W/F in-office in American Fork, Utah

Key Responsibilities

• Process high-volume invoices accurately and in a timely manner
• Ensure compliance with GAAP standards and internal accounting policies
• Review invoices for appropriate documentation, coding, and approvals
• Match invoices to purchase orders and receiving documents
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
• Assist with month-end close, including accruals and account reconciliations
• Perform ongoing reconciliations of bank and credit card statements
• Perform general accounting functions including reconciliations, journal entries, and financial reporting
• Ensure compliance with company policies and internal controls
• Support audit requests and provide documentation as needed
• Collaborate with internal departments to resolve invoice and payment issues
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support financial planning and operational initiatives
• Maintain organized and up-to-date records of all AP transactions.
• Support the AP team with other administrative and clerical duties as needed.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting preferred
• 2 years of accounts payable or general accounting experience
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and AP processes
• Experience with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, or similar)
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
• Experience with NetSuite and Stampli or other accounts payable systems is a plus but not required.
