What The Position is About:
- Lead all plant engineering functions, developing strategies and driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reliability, cost performance, and the adoption of new technologies
- Oversee plant utilities, material handling systems, electrical infrastructure, and production equipment to ensure reliability, capacity, and compliance with operational requirements
- Oversee MSP (Managed Service Providers) and plant-level technical support services
- Lead engineering support for production equipment, tooling, automation initiatives, PCL controls, and manufacturing technologies to improve plant performance and capabilities
- Lead capital projects and production expansion initiatives, managing scope, budgets, schedules, vendors, and execution to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget
- Partner with Operations and Logistics to optimize material flow and system efficiency while supporting data-driven decision-making through engineering systems and reporting enhancements
- Manage engineering budgets and resources while identifying cost-saving opportunities through process improvements, technology upgrades, and vendor optimization
- Partner with Operations, Maintenance, IT, Supply Chain, and other stakeholders to support new products, system upgrades, safety initiatives, and regulatory compliance
The Right Candidate Will Have:
- 5 years of management experience within a manufacturing environment
- Deep expertise in plant engineering systems, utilities, automation, and production equipment
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, controls, and industrial infrastructure
- Experience managing capital projects and large-scale equipment implementations
- Familiarity with ERP systems (AS400 preferred), data systems, and manufacturing technologies
