Construction Foreman

Overview
Join our dynamic construction team as a Construction Foreman, where you will lead and supervise on-site construction activities to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. This role offers an exciting opportunity to oversee daily operations, coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers, and implement project plans that drive success from start to finish. Your leadership will be vital in maintaining a productive work environment while adhering to safety regulations and project specifications.

Responsibilities

• Conduct pre-construction meetings with the project manager to finalize schedule, procedures, timeline, and completion date
• Plan workforce, site coordination, and task allocation with the project manager
• Develop and implement the overall project plan
• Supervise and coordinate all on-site construction activities to meet schedule and specifications
• Manage subcontractors, suppliers, and labor crews to ensure productivity and quality
• Monitor project progress and maintain accurate documentation (daily reports, change orders, contracts)
• Review and interpret drawings, blueprints, and schematics
• Ensure quality control and compliance with project standards and requirements
• Confirm pre-ordered materials and arrange advance procurement of additional materials
• Coordinate tool and material delivery, notifying personnel at least one day in advance
• Use construction management software (e.g., ProCore, Primavera P6, HeavyBid) for scheduling and resource planning
• Enforce OSHA safety standards through meetings, inspections, and site compliance
• Conduct site inspections using appropriate tools and equipment
• Supervise employees to complete assigned tasks efficiently
• Maintain site policies and promote a safe, collaborative, and productive work environment
• Must be capable of working on and completing construction tasks

Experience

• Proven supervising experience in heavy civil or commercial construction projects with a strong understanding of construction site operations.
• Extensive knowledge of construction management software such as ProCore, Primavera P6, or Primavera for project scheduling and tracking.
• Familiarity with construction estimating techniques and blueprint reading for accurate project planning.
• Hands-on experience with contracts management, budgeting, and quality assurance processes.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
• Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and best practices for construction site safety compliance.
• Strong management skills with the ability to lead teams effectively and motivate personnel toward shared goals.
• Technical proficiency with tools like schematics, ohmmeters, and other electrical testing equipment is preferred.
