Position Overview
We build luxury custom homes, estates, and renovations with unmatched craftsmanship, thoughtful design, and concierge-level service. We are seeking a skilled Construction Carpenter/Foreman to support field operations across high-end residential construction projects.
This role is ideal for a carpenter who is highly proficient in rough carpentry and structural work, with developing experience in finish carpentry. Working closely with the Superintendent, this individual will support all phases of construction, contribute to site productivity, and continue developing technical skills in luxury-level execution.
The right candidate takes pride in craftsmanship, works efficiently, and understands the importance of precision in every phase of construction from framing through final details.
Key Responsibilities
As a Carpenter/Foreman, you’ll be responsible for:
- Overseeing and coordinating daily construction activities ensuring work is being completed according to project specifications.
- Coordinate with the superintendent and project manager on scheduling, materials, and workflow, managing deliveries, equipment, manpower, and jobsite logistics to maximize productivity and ensure smooth subcontractor access.
- Executing various aspects of carpentry while also leading and supervising skilled trades and subcontractors
- Performing rough carpentry including framing walls, floors, roofs, blocking, backing, layout, and structural modifications in accordance with plans and specifications.
- Assisting with building layout, verifying elevations, dimensions, and structural alignment to ensure accurate execution.
- Supporting preparation work required for finish installations, including backing, straightening, and correction of framing tolerances.
- Assisting with basic finish carpentry including installation of trim, doors, hardware, cabinetry components, and other architectural details under supervision.
- Maintaining job-site cleanliness and protecting materials, especially in finished or partially finished areas.
- Conduct quality checks and assist with punch lists and final details.
- Enforce company and OSHA safety standards, conduct safety meetings, and ensure all workers follow proper safety protocols.
- Contribute to daily logs including maintaining proper documentation of inspections, incidents, and subcontractors, and site employees.
- Represent the company professionally when interacting with clients, architects, designers, and inspectors.
What You Need to Succeed
We’re looking for someone who is proactive, dependable, and committed to quality. The ideal candidate will possess:
- 5-10 years of experience in high-end residential construction with at least 3 years in a supervisory or foreman role.
- Highly competent in framing and finish carpentry.
- Proven experience working on high-end custom home or luxury remodel projects.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and specifications.
- Exceptional organizational and time-management skills
- Strong work ethic and hands-on, lead by example attitude.
General working knowledge of Procore Construction Management and Financial Modules
