Responsibilities
- Develop and implement innovative, interactive cooking curricula tailored to various age groups and skill levels
- Lead engaging cooking classes that incorporate elements of visual arts, choreography, and performance to enhance learning experiences
- Manage classroom activities effectively, ensuring a safe, inclusive, and motivating environment for all children
- Teach children proper kitchen safety, hygiene practices, and basic culinary techniques
- Collaborate with parents and guardians to communicate progress and encourage continued interest in culinary arts
- Maintain organized lesson plans, safety protocols, and classroom supplies to ensure smooth class operations
Requirements
- Proven experience working with children in educational or recreational settings
- Strong background in culinary arts or related fields such as childhood development or food preparation
- Experience teaching visual & performing arts, choreography, dance instruction, or theater is highly desirable
- Knowledge of curriculum development tailored for youth programs and creative arts instruction
- Ability to manage classroom dynamics with patience, enthusiasm, and professionalism
- Skills in teaching music or instrumental performance are a plus for integrating multisensory learning approaches
- Familiarity with sewing, photography, dancing, or other creative hobbies that can be incorporated into culinary lessons
- Excellent communication skills to engage children effectively and foster a positive learning environment
