Role Description
We are seeking a full-time Sports Director/AAU Basketball Coach for our Westwood, NJ location. This on-site role will be responsible for developing and implementing sports programs, coaching basketball teams, and mentoring youth. The candidate will manage sports-related activities, plan and lead practices, oversee game strategies, and promote teamwork and personal growth among participants. The role also involves engaging with parents, staff, and community members to build a positive and inclusive environment for young athletes.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Physical Education, Sports, and Coaching
- Experience in Sports Management and program development
- Effective Communication skills to work with youth, parents, and colleagues
- Strong leadership, organizational, and mentoring abilities
- Passion for youth development and empowering children through sports
- Familiarity with AAU basketball structure and rules is a plus
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred
- CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain is advantageous
