Superintendent - Commercial

Build People is representing a leading General Contractor seeking an experienced Superintendent to oversee commercial construction projects across South Florida. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established builder with a strong reputation and a robust pipeline of upcoming work.

The successful candidate will play a key role in managing site operations, driving schedules, maintaining safety standards, and delivering high-quality projects from groundbreaking through completion.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily on-site construction activities and subcontractor coordination
• Ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards
• Develop and maintain short-term schedules and look-ahead plans
• Coordinate inspections, logistics, and site sequencing
• Lead subcontractor meetings and maintain strong field communication
• Monitor workmanship and enforce quality control procedures
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety standards
• Work closely with Project Managers, clients, consultants, and ownership teams
• Identify and proactively resolve field issues
  
  

Requirements

• 10 years of Superintendent experience with a General Contractor
• Experience managing commercial construction projects in South Florida
• Strong understanding of construction methods, scheduling, and site logistics
• Proven ability to lead subcontractors and field teams effectively
• Experience with Procore, Bluebeam, and construction scheduling software preferred
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• OSHA certification preferred
