Position: Superintendent - Corrections / Commercial Construction
Location: Austin, TX
Salary: $120k –$160k base

A growing General Contractor with a strong reputation in the corrections market is seeking an experienced Superintendent to lead the delivery of complex correctional facility projects.
With several projects currently in construction, additional work about to commence, and a long-term pipeline across Texas and the Southern United States, this role offers excellent career stability and the opportunity to work on a specialist portfolio of projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all on-site construction activities from preconstruction through project completion
- Coordinate subcontractors, site logistics, inspections, scheduling, quality control, and daily field operations
- Maintain a safe, productive, and organised jobsite while ensuring compliance with project specifications
- Work closely with the Project Manager to deliver projects on time and within budget
- Conduct subcontractor meetings, safety meetings, and daily site inspections
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, inspectors, consultants, and subcontractors
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Superintendent with a Commercial General Contractor
- Ground-up commercial construction experience required
- Previous experience delivering correctional facilities, prisons, jails, detention centres, or similar secure government projects is highly preferred
- Willingness to travel throughout Texas and the Southern U.S
- Strong leadership, scheduling, and subcontractor management experience
- Excellent knowledge of construction safety standards and quality control processes
- Ability to manage multiple trades and maintain project schedules.
