Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their shopping needs, ensuring a positive experience from entry to checkout
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately to process sales, returns, and exchanges while handling cash, credit cards, and mobile payments with confidence
- Conduct product demos to showcase features and benefits, encouraging customer engagement and upselling opportunities
- Maintain organized merchandising displays and stock shelves to ensure products are attractive and accessible
- Assist with inventory management by stocking shelves, conducting stock counts, and organizing backroom storage
- Provide excellent customer service by answering questions about products, store policies, and promotions using clear communication skills
- Uphold phone etiquette standards when handling inquiries or assisting customers remotely
Requirements
- Previous retail sales or cashiering experience preferred; supervisory experience is a plus for leadership opportunities
- Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling procedures to ensure accurate transactions
- Strong communication skills in English; bilingual abilities are highly valued for serving diverse customer bases
- Ability to perform basic math quickly and accurately for cash register operations and inventory counts
- Experience with grocery store operations or retail environments is advantageous
- Demonstrated customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
- Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate loads, and work flexible hours including weekends or evenings as needed
