Position Overview:
Sunshine Meadows is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Payroll/Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for processing payroll accurately and on time, managing accounts payable functions, and ensuring financial compliance with internal policies and regulations. This position requires excellent communication skills, a high level of accuracy, and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process bi-weekly payroll for employees, including time tracking, deductions, and benefits.
- Ensure compliance with payroll regulations, tax laws, and company policies.
- Prepare and maintain payroll reports and records.
- Handle accounts payable tasks such as reviewing invoices, reconciling accounts, and processing payments.
- Verify and ensure accurate coding and data entry for accounts payable.
- Assist in the preparation of month-end close, including reconciliations of accounts.
- Address and resolve any discrepancies in payroll or payable accounts.
- Communicate with vendors and employees regarding payments, invoices, or payroll inquiries.
- Maintain up-to-date records of employee payroll information and vendor payment files.
- Support audits related to payroll and accounts payable.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred.
- Proven experience in payroll and/or accounts payable functions (minimum of 2 years preferred).
- Proficient with payroll software and accounting systems; experience with [specific payroll system, if applicable] is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of payroll and accounts payable regulations.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
