Towa Assistant Mechanic

JOB PURPOSE: Responsible for assisting the head cart mechanic with the maintenance and appearance of the golf car fleet.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

•          Check carts weekly to verify that they are operating properly and have clean
•          Assist in diagnosing mechanical failures and repair all golf carts according to manuals, factory specifications, and knowledge of engine performances. Ensure all items under warranty are serviced properly.
•          Order and maintain parts inventory.
•          Meet with head mechanic and superintendent to discuss procedures and improvements for cart operations.
•          Perform preventive maintenance per cart procedures.
•          Check for proper storage of carts at night.
•          Record cart maintenance in the maintenance log.
•          Ensure that all safety procedures are implemented and enforced.
•          Keep necessary departments informed on all maintenance due on carts.
•          Keep workstation neat and clean.
•          Assist in maintenance of all utility vehicles, beverage carts and carts from other BTI departments.
•          Willing to act in an “apprentice” capacity learning from current mechanic golf cart as well as visiting EZ Go Technicians. 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES):

•         Must be at least 21 years of age or older
•          Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
•          Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
•          Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

REQUIRED EDUCATION OR COMBINATION OF EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

•          High school diploma or equivalent - Required.
•          General golf cart knowledge and/or mechanical aptitude required.
•          This position requires lifting/moving 25-50 Ibs, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, climbing, balancing, reaching. - Required.

•          Standing/Walking/Bending, 100%
