The Internal Audit team provides independent, objective assurance to strengthen risk management, internal controls, and governance across the organization. The Senior Internal Auditor supports the annual audit plan, performing financial and operational audits, identifying control gaps and risks, and recommending process improvements. The role also contributes to department initiatives, including data analytics, methodology enhancements, and ad hoc projects.
Responsibilities:
- Support the execution of individual audits, including risk assessments, scoping, planning, control testing, and communication of results to Internal Audit leadership and process owners
- Develop a strong understanding of business processes and related risks across the organization
- Share audit findings and provide recommendations to strengthen the control environment
- Draft audit issues for inclusion in formal audit reports based on fieldwork results
- Maintain current knowledge of audit and accounting standards, as well as emerging industry and regulatory risks
- Partner with process owners to review remediation activities and monitor the status of audit issues
- Demonstrate professionalism, independence, and sound judgment in all audit activities
- Mentor and train new auditors and rotational team members
- Support department and division initiatives
Qualifications:
- 3–5 years of internal auditing, accounting, or controllership experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
- CPA or equivalent, CIA, CFE, or CISA (preferred)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to summarize audit issues, risks, and insights
- Demonstrated understanding of internal controls and key financial or operational concepts
- Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 30%
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Proficiency in understanding and documenting business processes
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple work streams
- Interest or experience in using analytics to evaluate processes and communicate findings
- Comfort working through ambiguity
- Desire to contribute within a team‑oriented, results‑driven environment
- SAP experience (preferred)
