**Position Summary
**
The Customer Service / Billing Specialist is responsible for providing exceptional customer support while accurately generating and processing invoices for services rendered. This role ensures billing accuracy, resolves account inquiries, and maintains compliance with company policies and contractual agreements. The ideal candidate combines strong customer service skills with attention to detail and billing experience.

**Key Responsibilities
**
Prepare, review, and issue customer invoices in accordance with service agreements and pricing terms.
Serve as the primary point of contact for customer billing inquiries, providing timely and professional support via phone and email.
Research and resolve billing discrepancies, adjustments, credits, and disputes.
Verify supporting documentation (service tickets, work orders, purchase orders, contracts) prior to invoicing.
Collaborate with operations, sales, and accounting teams to ensure billing accuracy and issue resolution.
Assist with accounts receivable functions, including payment posting and follow-up on outstanding balances.
Support month-end closing processes, reporting, and audit documentation.
Identify opportunities to improve billing processes and enhance customer experience.
Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable regulatory or contractual requirements.

**Qualifications
**
High School Diploma or GED required; Associate degree in Business or Accounting preferred.
2 years of customer service, billing, accounts receivable, or related experience preferred.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle customer concerns professionally.
High attention to detail with strong organizational and time management skills.
Experience working with ERP or accounting systems preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
