Position Overview
We’re hiring a UGC Ad Creator & Editor to help us scale our ad creative across TikTok, Meta, YouTube, and other paid platforms. This role is ideal for a hybrid creative: someone who can film and edit high-performing UGC-style content using phones and scrappy tools, but who also has the experience and skillset to shoot and edit polished, studio-quality videos when needed.
You’ll be expected to create and iterate on performance-focused video ads, work with internal and external teams to manage UGC deliverables and collaborate with the media buying team to test and optimize creative at scale.
Key Responsibilities
UGC & Ad Content Creation
- Capture and edit high-converting, UGC-style content (With phones or lightweight gear).
- Create multiple ad variations for A/B testing — changing hooks, pacing, copy, etc.
- Repurpose raw content into short-form ads for TikTok, Reels, Meta, and YouTube Shorts.
- Stay on top of social trends and incorporate them into your creative work.
Studio & High-Quality Video Work
- Assist with in-house shoots using Sony cameras, lighting setups, and professional gear.
- Bring studio-level skills to product shoots, interview-style content, and internal campaigns.
- Collaborate with our videographers and creative team to plan and execute shoots.
Performance-Driven Editing & Optimization
- Work closely with the paid media team to analyze ad performance and optimize accordingly.
- Understand key ad metrics (hook rate, hold rate, ROAS, CTR) and use them to improve output.
- Prioritize speed, iteration, and testing over perfection. Our goal is conversion, not cinema.
UGC Project Coordination
- Assist in managing UGC content pipelines, including internal talent and external creators.
- Communicate with team members and contractors to move UGC deliverables forward.
- Organize and track UGC assets for upcoming campaigns and creative briefs.
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience editing short-form ads (especially TikTok, Reels, and paid social content).
- Strong understanding of performance creative: hooks, pacing, retention, and CTAs.
- Skilled in Adobe Premiere, CapCut, After Effects (basic), or similar software.
- Experience with video production in both studio and mobile/UGC environments.
- Comfortable shooting and editing with phones, gimbals, and run-and-gun style gear.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Passion for storytelling, branding, and data-backed creative.
- Willingness to move fast, pivot quickly, and take feedback without ego.
Bonus Points
- Experience managing or sourcing UGC creators or influencer deliverables.
- Familiarity with ad performance metrics (CTR, CPA, ROAS, AOV, etc.).
- Photography or graphic design experience is a plus.
