Responsibilities

• Prepare and assemble meals according to dietary guidelines, menus, and safety standards, ensuring timely delivery of nutritious food options.
• Assist with food handling, cooking, and food safety procedures to maintain sanitation and prevent contamination.
• Serve meals to residents or guests with courtesy, attention to individual dietary needs, and excellent customer service.
• Support the dietary department by cleaning kitchen equipment, utensils, dining areas, and ensuring proper sanitation practices are followed.
• Buss tables, clear trays, and assist with general kitchen cleanliness to uphold a hygienic environment.
• Follow proper food production techniques while managing time effectively to meet meal schedules.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure all dietary needs are met efficiently and respectfully.

Skills

• Experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or the food industry is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of food preparation, serving techniques, and food safety protocols.
• Excellent time management skills to coordinate meal preparation and service smoothly.
• Familiarity with sanitation standards, cleaning procedures, and kitchen safety practices.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
• Customer service-oriented mindset with good communication skills.
