Overview
We are seeking a reliable and professional Courier to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for timely and safe delivery of packages, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining efficient route operations. This role requires a strong focus on safety, accuracy, and customer satisfaction, with opportunities to work with various delivery vehicles including box trucks and commercial driving equipment. Prior experience in warehouse operations, heavy lifting, and route driving is highly valued.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate delivery vehicles such as box trucks and other commercial vehicles to transport packages to designated locations.
- Load and unload items efficiently using equipment like forklifts or pallet jacks when necessary.
- Manage daily delivery routes, ensuring timely pickups and drop-offs while adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Provide exceptional customer service by communicating professionally with clients during deliveries.
- Assist with warehouse tasks including inventory management, stock movement, and maintaining organized storage areas.
- Perform heavy lifting and manual handling of packages to ensure accurate loading and unloading processes.
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness and perform routine inspections to ensure safety standards are met.
- Follow all company policies regarding safety procedures, traffic regulations, and delivery protocols.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in delivery driving or courier services; route driving experience is preferred.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; commercial driver’s license (CDL) or
driver license is a plus. - Experience operating box trucks, forklifts, pallet jacks, or similar equipment is desirable.
- Ability to lift heavy packages repeatedly and perform manual labor as needed.
- Strong customer service skills with professional communication abilities.
- Knowledge of safety standards related to heavy lifting, vehicle operation, and warehouse procedures.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while managing time efficiently.
- Prior warehouse experience or familiarity with logistics operations is advantageous.
Pay: $20.00 - $21.00 per hour
