Supplier Quality Engineer II

New Bern, NC / Full-time

Your Responsibilities

Accountable for all aspects of supplier administration to ensure that the product category facility receives quality parts.

• Support change management and implementation for launches of new and existing products and part numbers
• Travel to suppliers to perform auditing conduct workshops, problem solving and inspection.
• Monitoring supplier performance.
• Work closely with QMP and Engineering to find root cause and develop solutions.
• Supplier problem clarification and resolution.
• Initiate, recommend or provide solutions to non-conformities.
• Assist setting up Supplier receiving inspection criteria in SAP.
• Dimensional support (or receiving inspection and FPI approval).
• Line return (zero hour failure) analysis.
• Regular communication with all suppliers for returned parts and product non conformities
• Cooperates with assembly and production and groups as necessary.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
  
  

Your profile

• Bachelor’s degree (Mechanical, Electrical, Materials, or Quality Engineering) – Required
• 3-5 years of Experience (Manufacturing (labor intensive) experience) – Required
• 3-5 Years of Experience (Assembly Setting experience) – Preferred
• Able to perform duties with minimal supervision, handle multiple tasks and be prompt in meeting deadlines.
• Working Knowledge of ISO, FMEA, and SPC.
• Familiarity with all Microsoft products. Proficient in Excel, Access.
• Travel Percentage – 30%
  
  

Your Pay & Benefits

The pay range posted for this position is based on the location noted in the posting title. Exact compensation offered may vary based on your specific skillset and work location. If the position is bonus or incentive eligible then the payments range from 0% to 200% of target with details laid out within the plan document.

Benefits offered include the following:

• 40 hours of paid personal leave (Production Line).
• 12 days of paid holidays per year (max 8 hours paid per day).
