What are the responsibilities and job description for the Psychologist, Private Practice position at Bryn Mawr Psychological Associates?
Are you looking for an excellent opportunity to elevate your career and income as a Psychologist? Bryn Mawr Psychological Associates is a group of 17 doctoral psychologists that offers a friendly and supportive professional community, a very competitive income, flexible hours, free choice over referrals and workload, free supervision, and the opportunity to cultivate professional niches. Bryn Mawr Psychological is a highly-regarded practice serving the Main Line community for nearly 25 years.
Requirements: Applicants must be doctoral level and licensed as a psychologist in PA.
ADVERTISED POSITION--Child & Adolescent Psychologist: You will be among other psychologists in this practice who treat children and teenagers (something Bryn Mawr Psychological has long been known for on the Main Line)--a place for solid mentorship and camaraderie with this population. The candidate needs to have a primarily behaviorally-based or CBT treatment orientation. Applicants must have after school and evening availability although there will also be daytime work. Most of the work would be in-person at our practice in Bryn Mawr, however, some can be virtual from home or the practice location. Adult patients are also available to diversify your caseload if you wish. Early career licensed psychologists with quality, relevant experience are encouraged to apply.
Hours and pay: All referrals are provided for you, but personal referrals that you generate pay higher. Salary ranges from $112 to $146 per hour. Employment is as an employee and not an independent contractor. (This saves you about 12% of your income through employer covered taxes, worker's comp, and credit card fees.)
There is no managed care work. Psychologists personally manage most aspects of their caseload and determine their own schedules and amount of vacation time. After the first year your malpractice insurance is covered by the practice. We also cover your PA license renewal most years.
Office setting: Our office suite is completely brand new as of 2025 and provides a comfortable, supportive atmosphere for both staff and clientele. We have weekly (optional) lunches as well as periodic social lunch/dinner gatherings to maintain community in the suite. Staff routinely comment about how much they enjoy their colleagues at Bryn Mawr Psychological and that they feel the referrals they receive are well-aligned with their areas of interest and expertise. Ample, free parking is always available.
Additional opportunities: Every psychologist is encouraged to develop their own niches. Current examples include sleep disorders, autism spectrum, psychological stress secondary to pediatric medical issues, LGBT specialization, and food allergy anxieties. Individual and peer consultation are always available free of charge.
