Accounts Receivable Specialist

About the position: RCS Construction is currently seeking a highly-motivated, dynamic individual to join our accounting team. This is a great opportunity for someone looking for advancement within the field and to take their career to the next level. This opportunity will be based out of our Celina, Ohio office.

Main duties will be focused on construction billing (AIA and Time & Material) while also supporting the accounting team in the daily operations and special projects. Must be accountable and motivated to ensure the accounting team achieves monthly goals and deadlines.

Responsibilities Include:

• Prepare contract billings and all associated customer specific paperwork including review and processing of change orders
• Prepare time and material billings and all related activities
• Review all contracts to ensure proper system set up for billing instructions and other issues as necessary
• Assist with collection of Accounts Receivable invoices including preparation of monthly customer statements
• Coordinate and track all progress payments to ensure timely payments; process cash receipts and follow up on any payment discrepancies
• Maintain WIP Report and work with project managers to ensure timely and accurate billing for all projects and timely closing of projects upon completion
• Prepare waivers of lien, affidavits, certified payroll reports, and collect supplier waivers
• Backup support for other members of the accounting team
• Support of special projects within the accounting department
• Other duties as assigned

Essential knowledge, skills and abilities:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field
• At least 3 years accounting/financial analysis experience
• Must have strong communication, organizational, time management and analytical skills
• Ability to manage stressful situations and tight deadlines with professional demeanor
• Self-motivated and self-directed but able to communicate and work in a team environment
