Job Title: Senior Procurement Manager
Location: Little Rock, Arkansas
Reports to: Director of Supply Chain Management
We are supporting a leading industrial manufacturer in the search for a Senior Procurement Manager to oversee indirect procurement activities and plant services for a state-of-the-art production facility. This is a senior leadership role responsible for ensuring the plant has the tools, equipment, consumables, and services required to operate safely, efficiently, and without disruption.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the procurement of MRO (maintenance, repair & operations) supplies, safety equipment, welding materials, industrial gases, spare parts, and related categories.
- Oversee procurement of capital equipment and critical spare parts for cranes, compressors, automation systems, and specialized machinery.
- Source and manage contractors for maintenance, operations, and site support services.
- Negotiate contracts, manage supplier performance, and ensure compliance with quality, safety, and ESG standards.
- Provide leadership to a team of buyers, standardize procurement processes in ERP (SAP preferred), and drive cost savings, digital initiatives, and continuous improvement.
Candidate Profile
- Minimum 8 years of experience in indirect procurement within heavy industry, steel, or energy manufacturing.
- Strong expertise in sourcing MRO, industrial services, and CapEx projects.
- Proficiency with ERP systems (SAP strongly preferred) and procurement reporting tools.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with experience managing teams and collaborating across functions.
- Familiarity with OSHA, EPA, and plant safety standards preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field required; MBA or CPSM certification preferred.
