The RF Engineer is responsible for the design, analysis, and implementation of wireless communication systems.
This role supports end-to-end RF engineering activities including system design, testing, optimization, and deployment across various environments such as utilities, government, and industrial sectors.
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop RF systems and wireless communication networks
- Perform RF planning, link budget analysis, and system performance evaluations
- Conduct propagation studies and feasibility assessments
- Support end-to-end RF system design and integration
- Generate Bills of Materials (BOMs) and cost estimates for wireless solutions
- Assist with installation drawings, system layouts, and technical documentation
- Perform testing, troubleshooting, and optimization of RF systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on deployment and implementation
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements
Technical Duties:
- Utilize RF engineering tools (e.g., planning and modeling software)
- Conduct link design and network analysis
- Support wireless system engineering activities including:
- Site surveys
- Installation support
- Commissioning and validation
- Analyze system performance and recommend improvements
- Provide technical support for field operations
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or related field
- Experience with RF system design and wireless communications
- Knowledge of RF principles, propagation, and signal behavior
- Familiarity with RF tools and simulation software
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in utilities, industrial, or government environments
- Knowledge of wireless technologies (microwave, LTE, SCADA, etc.)
- Experience with field testing and deployment
- Understanding of regulatory standards and compliance
