Project Scheduler will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and monitoring project schedule to ensure work is completed as planned and resources are coordinated effectively.
Typical responsibilities include:
- Creating and maintaining detailed project schedules using tools such as Oracle Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project
- Defining project activities, milestones, dependencies, and critical paths
- Coordinating with project managers, engineers, contractors, and stakeholders to gather schedule updates
- Tracking project progress against baseline schedules
- Identifying schedule risks, delays, and bottlenecks
- Preparing schedule forecasts and recovery plans
- Producing reports, dashboards, and status updates for leadership and clients
- Monitoring resource allocation and workload balancing
- Supporting budgeting and cost-control efforts through schedule analysis
- Conducting what-if scenario planning and timeline impact assessments
- Ensuring compliance with project standards, contractual deadlines, and reporting requirements
- Participating in project planning meetings and risk reviews
Common skills and qualifications:
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
- Knowledge of scheduling methodologies such as CPM (Critical Path Method)
- Experience with Gantt charts, resource loading, and earned value management
- Advanced Excel and reporting skills
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple timelines
- Communication and stakeholder coordination abilities
- 10 years of experience in Oil and Gas
- 5 years of midstream pipeline experience
- Bachelors Degree preferred
