Job Description Summary

Under general supervision, this position performs general office support involving routine and similar clerical duties requiring general knowledge of basic office systems and procedures in a high-volume area.

This position allows eligible veterans and their spouses to claim Veterans’ Preference pursuant to Florida Statute 295. Certain servicemembers may be eligible to receive waivers for postsecondary educational requirements, in the employment by the state and its political subdivisions and are encouraged to apply for the positions being filled.

Minimum Education

  • High school education or an equivalent required.
  • An equivalent combination of experience and education may be considered.

Minimum Experience/Training

  • One year office experience preferred.

Essential Functions

  • Daily- 50%: Performs general office support or clerical support to a work area.
  • Daily- 30%: Takes messages, greets and directs others to appropriate person for assistance.
  • Daily -15%: Prepares routine documents. Faxes, photocopies, and prepares materials.
  • Other, As Needed -5%: Performs related duties as assigned.
