Broussard Knoll Law Firm, a premier Louisiana personal injury firm, is seeking a highly skilled Attorney - Legal Research & Writer to join our plaintiff personal injury team. We are looking for someone with exceptional legal research and writing skills who wants to do more than draft documents from a distance. You will be an active part of the legal team, helping develop arguments, strengthen cases and contribute to case strategy.

If you are looking for a quiet back-office writing role where you take assignments, submit a draft and move on, this probably is not the position for you.

What You Will Do

• Conduct in-depth legal research
• Draft and research jury charges
• Conduct expert research
• Review and summarize depositions
• Draft, review, edit and proofread pleadings
• Assist with motions and appeals
• Participate in case strategy meetings

What We Are Looking For

• Juris Doctor (JD) required
• Exceptional legal research and writing ability
• Strong editing and proofreading skills
• A passion for clarity, structure, persuasion and precision
• Genuine interest in plaintiff personal injury law
• Competitive drive and a strong work ethic
• Ability to accept feedback and continually refine your work
• Willingness to work beyond normal business hours when a case requires it

Location

Our preference is for someone based in Lake Charles or Marksville, Louisiana. Candidates in New Orleans may also work from our satellite office. For an exceptional candidate, we are open to considering individuals elsewhere in Louisiana or the United States.

Compensation & Benefits

• $125,000-$150,000 annually
