You will play a key role in maximizing department efficiency, minimizing shrink, and supporting overall store operations.
Examples of Duties:
- Independently manage and maintain the frozen department, ensuring shelves and displays are fully stocked and properly faced.
- Utilize CGO (Computer Generated Ordering) to maintain appropriate inventory levels and ensure consistent product availability.
- Receive and break down frozen deliveries, verifying product accuracy and quality.
- Organize and maintain the backstock freezer, ensuring efficient product rotation and accessibility.
- Rotate frozen products to maintain quality and minimize shrink due to outdated or damaged product.
- Build and maintain end caps and displays to support promotions and drive sales.
- Monitor inventory levels and make adjustments as needed to support sales trends and seasonal demand.
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards, including proper storage and temperature control of frozen items.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the frozen department and storage areas.
- Provide customer assistance as needed, including locating products and answering questions.
- Communicate with store leadership regarding inventory needs, issues, or opportunities within the department.
- Knowledge of frozen food products and storage requirements.
- Understanding of inventory management and ordering systems, including CGO processes.
- Familiarity with food safety and temperature control standards.
- Basic understanding of retail merchandising and display execution.
- Organization: Ability to maintain an orderly freezer, backstock, and sales floor.
- Time Management: Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Attention to Detail: Ensuring accuracy in ordering, stocking, and product rotation.
- Communication: Ability to communicate effectively with leadership and assist customers as needed.
