What are the responsibilities and job description for the Clinical Supervisors position at Brothers' Keeper?
To this end, Behavioral Specialists have the following responsibilities:
- Report directly to Clinical Director (LMHP) for bi-weekly supervision
- Conduct initial assessment and submit to LMHPs within 24 hours to be submitted to Magellan. Collect re-assessment questionnaires from counselors and complete six month re-assessments Upon completion of six month re-assessment report, submit to senior level clinician for review and submission to Magellan.
- Review of Virginia Independent Assessment Program Report (VICAP) reports.
- Receive reassessment questionnaires from site supervisors and utilize for completion of semi-annual and annual reassessments.
- Complete prior authorization reports and submit to Magellan for approval one week prior to the expiration date.
- Collaborate with LMHPs to determine the client’s diagnosis.
- Conduct clinical trainings to heighten quality of therapeutic services provided by Counselors.
- Interact with client’s parent/guardian(s) on an as needed basis.
- Lead/assist with crisis interventions for clients.
- Work closely with Site Supervisor in efforts to promote the program in a positive manner to elicit referrals and maintain census and growth of the program.
- Facilitate clinical staffing’s with counselors and site supervisors to improve the overall treatment provided to the client’s monthly.
- Review quarterly and individualized service plans for clinical soundness.
- Attend all annual mandatory agency training (Handle with Care, CPR, First Aid, Human Rights, HIPPA, etc.).
- Identify clinical areas that require strengthening and seek out opportunities to attend training in such areas.
Minimum Requirements
Qualified applicants will possess a Master’s degree in a human service program (i.e., psychology, counseling, social work, etc.) with a minimum of one (1) year clinical Experience with children and adolescents. Applicant must be eligible for licensure with Virginia Board of Counseling and Social Work, registered to receive Supervision towards Licensure.
