MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Teach and supervise high school students at varying academic levels, both in academic and performance skills to prepare them for either college or entry-level work in the carpentry industry. The applicant should have a background and good working knowledge of:
- Roof and Wall Framing
- Exterior and Interior Finishing
- Doors, window and trim installation
- Building Materials and Construction Methods
- Building Codes and Industry Standards
Job Qualifications
REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- NYS Certification in Vocational Subject Area Carpentry; OR
- Associates degree or higher in carpentry and two years of carpentry experience
- High School diploma or equivalent plus four years experience working in the carpentry industry
