What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Director of IP position at Broome-Tioga BOCES?
Major Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage all district-based Career and Technical Education (CTE) programming, including supervising the administrative team and serving as the primary point of contact for component school districts
- Cultivate and expand educational programming and strategic partnerships within Tioga County to drive regional growth
- Lead and supervise all Adult Education programming, providing direct guidance and support to the program's administrative team
- Identify, secure, and administer grants in collaboration with internal teams to fund and sustain departmental initiatives
- Align and support the Center for Career and Technical Excellence in connection with the NY Inspires initiative
- Guide and assist component school districts through the New York State Education Department (NYSED) program approval process.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support organizational leadership and objectives.
Job Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- NYS Certification in School District Administration (SDL, SDA)
- Leadership and instructional skills and knowledge
- Communication and relationship building skills
- Share vision, strategic plan and critical success indicators of the organization
- Commitment to the education of all students
- Work cooperatively with component school district personnel and community agencies
