Technical Product Manager – Finance Data & Analytics (Contract)
Location: Indianapolis, IN
Duration: 6 months with high potential for extension

Overview
We are seeking a Technical Product Manager to lead execution and enablement of Finance Data & Analytics initiatives. This role sits at the intersection of Finance, Data Engineering, and Analytics and is responsible for ensuring finance data products are delivered, usable, and aligned to business outcomes.
The ideal candidate combines strong SAP data fluency with product execution discipline — someone comfortable discussing ETL architecture with engineers and value realization with finance stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Finance Data Product Ownership
- Own execution of finance data products from source-to-analytics.
- Translate finance business requirements into clear technical specifications.
- Maintain roadmap, backlog, and delivery milestones across multiple workstreams.
- Define KPIs for data quality, availability, and business adoption.
SAP & Data Platform Coordination
- Partner with engineering teams managing extraction from SAP S/4HANA and non-SAP source systems
- Oversee ETL pipelines and ingestion into enterprise data lake environments.
- Collaboration on orchestration and transformation processes
- Ensure semantic layer and downstream analytics models support finance reporting needs.
Analytics & Automation Enablement
- Drive analytics transformation initiatives within Finance.
- Support automation use cases (reconciliation automation, review automation, validation/testing automation).
- Ensure finance stakeholders can effectively consume data products (Power BI, dashboards, reporting models).
- Improve manual reporting processes through scalable data solutions.
Cross-Functional Leadership
- Facilitate alignment across Finance, Data Engineering, Architecture, and Analytics teams.
- Identify and manage technical dependencies and delivery risks.
- Provide structured updates and executive-ready materials to senior stakeholders.
- Support agile ceremonies, sprint planning, and PI planning.
Required Qualifications
- 8 years in Technical Product Management, Data Product Management, or Finance Data Delivery.
- Experience working with SAP finance data (FI/CO required; SD/MM exposure a plus).
- Strong understanding of ETL pipelines, data lakes, and analytics enablement.
- Ability to translate between finance business language and technical data architecture.
- Experience operating in Agile delivery environments.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting S/4HANA migrations.
- Exposure to SAP ERP, Microsoft Fabric, AwS unified sage maker studio, or enterprise cloud data platforms.
- Background in consulting or large enterprise transformation programs.
- Experience in regulated finance environments (SOX, audit-sensitive reporting).

- SQL querying and data analysis
- Python for data validation/scripting

- Root Cause analysis for data issues
