Senior Business Analyst – Debit Technology

One of our banking clients, headquartered in Honolulu, Hawaii, is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to join their IT organization with a focus on debit technology. This role partners closely with IT, business stakeholders, and leadership to deliver technology solutions that support critical banking operations and customer experiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead complex business analysis initiatives and serve as a strategic partner to stakeholders.
• Act as a subject‑matter expert for debit technology platforms, systems, and workflows.
• Elicit, analyze, and document business and system requirements for medium to large initiatives.
• Translate complex requirements into clear, actionable documentation and recommendations.
• Collaborate with architects, developers, testers, and vendors to deliver effective solutions.
• Ensure stakeholders understand impacts, risks, and dependencies related to technology changes.
• Drive quality standards, governance, and best practices across initiatives.
• Develop cost‑benefit analyses and assist with project financial management.
• Support production systems, champion continuous improvement, and mentor junior analysts.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
• 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst within IT or financial services environments.
• Proven experience leading complex technology or systems initiatives.
• Strong understanding of banking operations and regulatory considerations.
• Advanced analytical, problem‑solving, and documentation skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with technical teams and executive stakeholders.
• Experience with SDLC, Agile, or hybrid delivery methodologies.
